Spooky Rollout Cookies Recipe
These sugar cookies have sour cream in the recipe which give the cookies a nice texture and moisture.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 2/3 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Cream sugar, butter, shortening.
- Add egg and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients.
- After mixed add sour cream.
- Roll, cut into shapes and bake on a greased cookie sheet at 325 just until the bottom is brown.
- Transfer for a baking rack and then into an airtight container to keep cookies moist.
Notes
- This cookies are great for the holidays. I love making big batches of them and having everyone in the family decorate the cookies.
