Baked Spiced Chickpeas

Put down the potato chips and make this healthy alternative - spiced baked chickpeas. You can play around with your spice mixture till you find the perfect combination.

These chickpeas are super easy to make and good for you. Chickpeas are naturally high in fiber and protein and contain several essential vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can of chickpeas
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspooon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chickpeas.
  2. Toss with all of the other ingredients.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes in a 400 degrees F oven.
  4. Stir at 15 minutes and finish cooking until the chickpeas are slightly browned and crispy.

Notes

  • Don’t be afraid to play around with different spice mixtures. You can use any combination of spices for a delicious, healthy snack.
