Korean Dakgalbi Chicken Tacos

This spicy Korean chicken is delicious on tacos or served over rice. You can adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of gochujang (Korean chili paste) that you use.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 green onions
  • 1/2 onion (sliced thin)
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 4 medium corn or flour tortillas
  • Taco Toppings such as: purple or green sliced cabbage, radishes, kimchi, lime juice, and cilantro

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the mixture to marinate in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Add a small amount of olive or vegetable oil to a large saute pan.
  4. Saute the marinated chicken over medium heat until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Serve on warmed tortillas with sliced cabbage, kimchi, lime juice and cilantro as desired.
