Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
These muffins have a consistency that is very similar to banana bread. The chocolate chips and walnuts are both optional.

Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- ¼ cup walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line a muffin tin with paper cups or spray with cooking oil.
- Mash bananas in a bowl.
- Mix in sugar, vegetable oil, and egg.
- Gently stir in flour, baking soda and salt.
- Gently stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Fill muffin cups about ⅔ full.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
We are working on a healthier version (with less sugar and oil) but this is our tried and tested recipe.
