Spooky Rollout Cookies Recipe

These sugar cookies have sour cream in the recipe which give the cookies a nice texture and moisture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar, butter, shortening.
  2. Add egg and vanilla.
  3. Add dry ingredients.
  4. After mixed add sour cream.
  5. Roll, cut into shapes and bake on a greased cookie sheet at 325 just until the bottom is brown.
  6. Transfer for a baking rack and then into an airtight container to keep cookies moist.

Notes

  • This cookies are great for the holidays. I love making big batches of them and having everyone in the family decorate the cookies.
